Born October 8, 1987, this talented female rapper fell in love with hip hop at a very young age. As a Providence native, she wasnt exposed readily to hip hop. It was during her summer time visits to NYC that she discovered the unforgettable lyrics of rappers such as the Notorious BIG, Tupac, Ma$e, and Dr Dre. After writing her first verse at 14, it was then that K Star discovered her talent and calling. Rapping and writing was a way for her to release the stress of a not so perfect home life. She turned the negativity of having hustlers for brothers in the drug game, and poverty stricken parents, into a positive drive to be something. and give back to her family. At age17 she met another young rapper named Marvelous. Together they formed ARTBLAZE: a group of talented rappers, singers, writers and producers from Providence, California and New York City, each with their own unique flow.
Soon after K Star released her first mix tape in 2006 called The Gossip Volume 1 and has created a huge buzz not only in her hometown but in places like New York, Miami and her parents country, Dominican Republic. In a city that has yet to be officially noticed by the world of hip hop and music and general, K Star has worked diligently to gain respect and popularity, as a talented female rapper. Her versatility, ability to produce punch line after punch line, hunger for success, incredible talent, willingness to push the envelope and most importantly her love for hip hop makes her an unstoppable artistic force in the hip hop game. Currently, After Releasing Her second Mixtape "The Gossip Vol.2" in January 28th 2008 K Star has been collaborating with many artists from around the world.
