Fall 4 Your Type Remix - @DuhKiddStar

Definitely someone that everyone should look out for. Be sure to check out 18 year old rapper DuhKiddStar on her Youtube channel youtube.com/user/DuhKiddStar as well as Twitter @DuhKiddStar .

Too Skinny?

Those who know me know that i am OBSESSED with weight.  Most say I look fine, but I strongly feel that its all about how you feel on the inside.  Often times we don't see what other people see.  When I look in the mirror, I see a woman that can lose a couple more pounds.

I wonder WTF Jennifer Hudson sees when she looks in the mirror.  She looks disgustingly skinny.  Shoot.  Looking at her makes me want to eat a burger.  I think she may have taken it too far...

Damn we are crazy!

I was on the LIRR last night, coming home from another 3minds video and there was this obnoxiously loud girl sitting in the back of me having an argument on her cell phone.  She was so loud that I had no choice but to listen to the verbal toxins she was putting into the air.  While listening to her argue, I quickly assumed she was a lesbian.  When listening to an argument, there are key phrases you should listen for like, "Imma kill you," or "I'll be waiting outside of your house."  Once I heard her say those things I quickly said to myself, "self, this girl is a lesbian."  Of course that was confirmed when she then said, "The person I used to call my wife would not threaten my life."

So after hearing this conversation I quickly thought to myself, why are we so damn crazy?  Why is it that when we break up with someone, our first threat is to follow, kill or harm the person?  Why do we threaten to make their lives hell?  Threaten to kill ourselves?  So much fuckery for some damn attention.  I know we have all experienced this type of behavior in the past whether we were the ones saying those things or hearing them.

With that being said, I want to shout out all the crazy ass lesbians out there, ruining lives one day at a time.  Stop with your foolery and learn to let go of the damn relationship.  Stop stalking.  Don't show up at anyone's job, don't wait outside of anyone's home, don't slander the person's name in the community.  BE AN ADULT!  Crazy ass women.

Do Not Ask of Others What You Will Not Do Yourself!

ACCEPTANCE, the homosexual dream. Can we, as homosexuals, actually achieve acceptance? Or, is it merely a dream that will always be just that, a dream? No matter where you are in the world, if there are lesbians around, they will always bring this up "the heteros don't accept who we are". Though that may be the case, why should it matter when we don't accept ourselves and our peers within the LGBTQ community?

In order to be acknowledged as a fem, you must; dress, sound, and appear as such. If a lesbian should happen to wear; baggy jeans, a shirt, sneakers, and a bare face; off the top, you'd assume she is an AG. See, that's not the issue. The issue is when she is dressed in that manner, yet portrays the "characteristics" of a fem, people tell HER that she IS an AG.

Some say that people who chose not to label themselves make it hard for others to classify them.... well, you know what I say to that? ... DUH! Who voluntarily classifies themselves to meet & stay restricted to guidelines of their sexuality? Let me clarify, if you decide ON YOUR OWN to label yourself, that's YOUR choice. Don't let the ignorant and biased opinions of others keep you confined in a box of "guidelines" while you can be expressing your true, inner self.

People need to realize and grasp the fact that clothes do not define our complete personalities or sexualities. It is not your role to place your label on a person without knowing the slightest thing about them. Judgmental people are always the first to say "Don't judge me" Oh, no, we will flood you with ignorance until you beg for mercy. (evil smile, lol just kidding)

Acceptance from others will come once we start accepting EACH OTHER for who we are. No matter our race, religion, color, gender, sex, creed, nationality, or sexual orientation. You can influence many, but the only life that you control is your own. Live & love freely.

Who is your favorite Mind?

I LOVE 3Minds!  And I'm not just saying that.  I have an individual relationship with each member so I am very fond of each of those fuckers.

Linn:  Linn is the "mouth piece" of  3 Minds.  We go WAYYY back. I met her 6 years ago at a fashion show that we worked on together.  Since then, we have grown into great friends.  What I love the most about Linn is that she is VERY passionate about what she does.  I never met someone who put every ounce of blood, sweat and tears into her work.  The work she does for this community isn't to make a name for herself, but to make a name for our community.  When she says, "Creatively we never sleep," she was NOT lying.  This heffa does NOT sleep!  If there is something she wants to do, she won't wait around for someone to show her how to do it.  Linn taught herself about videos, editing, filming and software.  There is NOTHING that she can not do and if by chance she actually can't do it, she will teach herself how to.  Love you Boo!

Nikkie: What I LOVE about Nikkie is what's under the surface.  Looking at Nikkie, you can tell she is an artist.  She a photographer.  She can sketch/draw.  She can write.  That to me is what is on the surface.  What's under the surface is her deepness.  Have you ever discussed anything with her? Current events?  The direction of our youth?  The LGBTQ community?  Talk to her.  She blows my mind every time we have a discussion because her point of view is always insightful.  I say that it's under the surface because upfront, you see jokester Nikkie, behind closed doors, she's a passionate being.  Extremely intelligent.

Daya: Want to have a good time?  Guaranteed laughs?  Hang out with Daya.  I don't call her Daya... and I'm not going to start now!  Wiz (Daya) and I have endless stories of the fuckery that we have done just off the strength of being us.  She has one of the freest spirits ever.  I LOVE that about her.  She is an open book.  You can count on her making you smile when you're down and making you smile harder when you're not.

Together, these 3 ladies make a perfect picture.  I Love You hoes!

3 Minds wouldn't be where they are today without the guidance of  their manager, Delicia.  "Dee" is thebomb.com.  She is literally one of the most beautiful women I've ever met inside and out.  She has a very gentle spirit.  Well rounded, educated and truly a phenomenal woman.  LOVE YOU DEE!

4Strong- my babies!  Proud to know you ladies.  You picked an awesome group of women to be your mentors.  You guys have such a bright future. <3 you!

I basically want to show my appreciation for my camp.  I am humbled to be apart of you and your cause.

Leave a comment readers!  Who is your favorite Mind?

C. Breezy strikes again!

Apparently Chris Brown went ape shit today.  Poor boy can't catch a break!  First he beats Rihanna senseless, then gets into a homo thug twit fight with Raz B, then he shows us all his crooked Weenis, then he goes blonde :o, Now this.

Chris Brown was set to perform on Good Morning America to speak about his album, F.A.M.E.  During the interview portion, he was asked about the 2009 incident with Rihanna.  Chris felt that it was inappropriate for them to ask about the incident while he was there to promote his album.

Well! My boy Christopher Brown thru a tittie fit in honor of tittie tuesday's!  He broke a window with a chair and then stormed off topless... Gotta love these sensitive Hollywood types.  Granted, I would've been upset also, I'm not sure making yourself look like an expanding asshole is necessary.  CLEARLY Mr. Brown has anger issues.

Wanna become Straight? There's an app for that.

So technology has become the thing in this world that has made us all lazy.  On your phone alone, you can email, text, talk, surf the web, play games, listen to music and explore the many applications.  There's an application for literally EVERYTHING.  So as I was getting dressed for work this morning, I was not surprised to hear on the news of the new application on the I-phone.

Apparently there is a new application that helps gay people turn straight.  The app is called "Exodus International."  Apple has been approached about removing the app and there has been a petition going around against the application.  You can always count on those religious groups for their anti-gay fuckery.

Why would Apple approve such an application?  Better yet, since when was homosexuality a sickness that needed to be cured?  To me, those who condemn homosexuality or sexuality in general are just as guilty of the sins that they CLAIM we are guilty of.  Judgement is a sin.  As far as I'm concerned, loving someone, whether be of the same sex or opposite, is NOT a sin.  God is LOVE.  I highly doubt He would discourage us from loving others while encouraging us to judge and hate others.  Just a food for thought.

With this, I encourage you all to continue to be YOU.  Be free in who you chose to love.

 Awakening Mystery

HER:
Can you come by me?
So I can see this bedroom mystery?
Been thinking about you all day and even though I'm faded
I want you anyway...
We can compete as long as you want.
I hope in person you're not a front.
I'm emotionally attracted to you,
but I'm physically bound to you.
Liquor feeling right...
Tonight should be the night
I let you put it on me, and I'm feeling quite generously...

ME:
She says her body's feeling right,
So I'm thinking I might...enter..into her...emotional center
and make her shiver like it's winter.
Yes I know I can flow, but I give a better show.
I'm more...action than words.
Not much of my talk, but more focus on your vocals.
I'll make a night full of wonder turn into a week full of slumber...
Bodies hot, sex sweaty,
immersed in one another all from our...
one night of pleasure.
Our...
journey from my loins to your treasure.

HER:
Damn...
So I think I can make love to your words.
I know that may sound absurd.
The thought of you pleasing me is definitely like winter to me.
Body shaking, both naked, feel the chills of your invasion.
P***y wet, the vibration...
Temptaions set on my mind
Make love straight through the night

ME:
I don't believe we're ready to make love.
Excuse my saying,
but we're not that deep yet...
But nevertheless,
our sex will be passionate.
You can make love to my words,
and I'll make love to your thoughts...
to be taught...
in ways they were never sought.
I'm a fool with these words.
ven better in bed.
And I've been told that I give some A-mazing head
Blunt, I may be.
Straightforward, yes I am.
But there's not a word I have spoken
that I can not back up yet....

HER:
I most definitely agree that we are not ready...
ready to make love, nevertheless mention the word.
I believe what you say, but do you see my dismay?
Being pleased is simply a tease for my body
and is definitely a tease to me.
It knows what it wants...different from my head.
It will tell you loud and clearly what I just said.
So let's just see what's up with this head...

ME:
Whenever you're ready, trust I'll deliver.
Just don't be surprised at the way your body quivers.
I don't fuck for a nut,
Orgasms are a must.
A definite.
Anything less than, I'm definitely not worthy of it.
Or you.
Because my mission is to please.
My goal is not a tease.
You see...I am what you need...
Physically...
...maybe possibly emotionally, I'll free...you...
from every broken promise.
Every leftover tear.
Those emotional wounds,
well my hands are here to heal.
So let's try this passionate night,
and believe in where it leads

Her:
Mhmm!!
Okay I'm down to see what you're about..
Change my mind I hope because if not
your words are thoughts...
thoughts to what could have been..
body sent to neverland
no direction, bodies land, you the weatherman.
But until proven wrong,
I will believe the words spoken right now.
Just know that you're the one chosen.

ME:
You chose the right one.

My Inspiration

Ok ladies, the summer is coming.  I don't know about you, but I'm trying to prance around in a two piece from May to October. I'm currently in the middle of attempting to diet.  This shit is hard.  I realized the more I tweeted about dieting, the more I noticed that us women have serious body image problems.

What is the reason behind our body image issues?  I was having this conversation via twitter and some people were saying that they would like to lose weight while others were saying they would like to gain weight.  People with perfect bodies want to change something.  I guess at the end of the day we are all never satisfied.  What is our idea of perfect?  I look at Jennifer Hudson and I feel like she sold out a bit.  For her, she is happy with the body she has now while I thought she was perfect before.  I had to realize that no matter what everyone else may think about you, its all about how you feel about yourself inside.  Make sure that when you're evaluating yourself and how you feel about your body, you imagine a healthy image.  We are all beautiful women.  The amazing thing about being a woman is that we come in all shapes and sizes.  Its our differences that make us unique and special.  It may not be perfect, but its YOU!

I am 5 feet tall at 144 pounds.  Technically I'm overweight.  I have thick, muscular legs and a big ass so that's where I carry most of my weight.  Ideally, I'd like to have the body of any and every video model.  Wide hips, flat stomach, toned legs, 6 pack.. etc.  I want to lose about 5-10 lbs.  I'm working on it and I plan on documenting my progress with the blog.  I started working out with @Olympictrainer, celebrity trainer.  Starting in 2 weeks he will have ab workout classes for a really low price.  Hit him up(or me) for more info.
My 2010 Beach Body
Let's see if @OlympicTrainer can make me look better than this!

Prayers go out to Japan

PLEASE KEEP JAPAN, HAWAII, CALIFORNIA, and surrounding areas in your prayers.  This is just an example of how fortunate we are as people.  This could have easily been US.  Let us thank God for sparing us daily.  Sheltering us and providing for us.  God bless every single person affected by these natural disasters.

Featured Poet: Shenna

I have a friend.  She's awesome.  She writes.  Sometimes we share our work with each other.  I love when others expose their soul to me through words.  She sent me this poem and I was compelled to post it.  Follow her! @ShennaNanette

Yesterday is far away from today

[You had….] I adored you at first sight! *shrugs* Ok, that’s a lie!  I adored you at first chat.  I remember going to bed and rising in the morning to thoughts of you. I imagined your touch before you even hugged me, your smile before your lips parted, and your kiss before our first date. I felt your eyes before your physical. They embraced me and gave joy to my pain.  When our lips touched, what society deemed wrong turned into one of God’s heavenly songs; “Swing lowwwwwww,  Sweet Chaaariot.. Comin’ for to carry me hoooooome.” [….me at hello]
[But, that was long ago]
[You lost…] I wish I never met you! *shrugs* Ok, another lie!  I wish we would’ve met at a different time.  Maybe in the past when neither of us knew what pain felt like? Or, possibly the future where the last excuse for us not to be, would be nonexistent? Perhaps we can endeavor this “friend” thing.  Is it easy to wear a mask with someone who once [maybe twice] saw you stripped…. literally?  We now have a “past.” Presently, your knock is silent, the locks have been changed, and my address is no longer the same. [LO]I[VE] doesn’t live here anymore.  The future… hmmmmm [lost me at goodbye]

Ughh... I can totally relate to this!  Love you Shenna, thank you for sharing your soul with me ;o)

Did you catch NoLabelz on 3Minds Live?

Linn, Nikkie, Daya = 3Minds
Linn and Nikkie speaking with Mogul B and Leidy
Linn, Mogul B, Leidy, Daya and Nikkie

As you all SHOULD know, March is Women's History Month.  As we honor women who have paved the way for you and I today, it was only fitting that 3Minds would have Mogul B, founder of No Labelz Magazine and Leidy, No Labelz Publicist and fashion editor on the show.  I don't know about you, but it is truly an inspiration to watch a young woman of color chase and achieve her dreams.  The idea behind No Labelz is an important one.  We live in a world that doesn't accept us and implores to define us.  As a people, we chose to define ourselves by placing unnecessary labels on ourselves and each other.  In my opinion, the key to living life is to explore FREEDOM.  Be free to be who you are.  Identify solely as you, and not as a term that has limitations under it.  Live freely by having No Labels.

No Labelz was established 5 years ago.  The first of its kind to highlight LGBTQ of color. In those 5 years, No Labelz has become an international selling magazine sold in Barnes & Nobles and Borders Bookstores across the world.  Clearly what started as a dream quickly became reality.  Today, No Labelz Magazine caters to EVERYONE, making sure that consumers who picks up a copy will find a piece of themselves within the magazine.  There are many upcoming projects that explore their diversity in catering to their audience. In about 3 weeks, the Spring issue of No Labelz Magazine will drop.  Also coming soon the, "I'm Just Me," Documentary, and last but not least, "No Labelz Prep," a clothing line to highlight the Androgynous Female.  Leidy raves about this line stating its, "well tailored, good quality and affordable."  The clothing line is set to make its debut in September around fashion week.

Mogul B notes that it was a dream of hers that took time.  Nothing worth having occurs overnight.  She expresses the importance of investing in your craft even if it will leave you broke.  There will be down times, you won't always have money, but if its truly your dream, it will be all worth it. No Labelz has a hefty staff which Mogul B humbly thanks for all of their hard work and dedication.

I always fall for "Your Type"

Why is it so easy to fall for the wrong person?  So many good people out there and they all fall for "that type."  Have you ever reviewed your dating pattern?  I think subconsciously we end up dating the same type of people in different packaging.  Some people are drawn to people who have girlfriends already.  They're comfortable being the other chick because there's no real commitment.  Some women subconsciously pick women who will beat up on them and take advantage of them.  Some are good at picking the good girls while others continuously fall for the non committal, "player" type.

The deeper part of this would be, is the person you fall for a direct reflection of YOU? Take your time and think about this.  I had this conversation with a friend the other day and we both agreed that we are awesome women.  I will toot my own horn, I pride myself in being a good person, a good woman, a good soul.  My friend raised the point that who we chose as a partner has to reflect pieces of ourselves.  "Birds of a same feather flock together."  I don't entirely agree with this theory.  I think that us women have to stop settling.  Women get out of a relationship and rush right into another one, never taking the time to get to know the person.  When you do things like this, you are filling voids that you don't want to face.  The reality of the matter is, no one wants to be alone.  Once you get out of a relationship, your number one mission is to find the girls and get the party started.  Instead of taking some healing time, you start something with someone you don't know.  We settle.  We take whats right in front of us instead of attracting someone of our like minds.  This isn't true for EVERYBODY.  Knowing your worth will help you pick the appropriate partner.  When you deal with someone and you are willing to put up with certain behavior that you know is unacceptable, you set yourself for the same type of heartache that you may already be used to.  At the end of the day, stand for something otherwise you'll fall for anything.  Anyone can meet the wrong person, it takes confidence to walk away from them.

Would the money make you stay?

Olivia, Somaya, Chrissy, Emily, Moshanda

Last night I watched "Love & Hip Hop" and I was amazed at crack TV and how it manages to draws us all in.  These characters get funnier and funnier as the shows go on.  Enter the big breasted wanna be rapper with the fucked up shoe game, Somaya Reece.  Then there's Olivia, ex G Unit rapper who... ehhh.. well she's cute.  Talented? Not so much.  Then there's Mashonda, the woman that will be forever known as the one who got played for Alicia Keys.  My personal favorite was Chrissy.  Chrissy is Jim Jones woman.  She is as hood as hood gets, chasing every girl away that even glances as Jim's diseased looking ass.  Last but not least is Emily.  Emily is the whole inspiration behind this blog.  Emily is Fabulous' stylist and his main knob slobber.  8 Years and one child later, and she still cant walk the red carpet with her man.

After seeing Emily cry about not being claimed by her man it made me wonder, why does she stay?  Would you stay with a man (or woman) who does not claim you?  Is it the financial security?  Watching this show, you see the blatant disrespect that these men have for their women.  Chrissy puts so much energy into checking Jim Jones phone and computer.  She goes as far as to confront tacky ass Somaya who didn't even want dirty Jimmy.  If there is no trust in these relationships and clearly no security, why do these women stay?

I don't think I'd ever date a rapper/athlete.  There's a reason for their reputation.  At what point do us women realize that financial security is not enough for you to stay with a person who doesn't recognize your worth.  The question you should really ask is, Do You Recognize Your Own Worth?  I'm sure after Emily invested 8 years with Fab she feels she deserves a little acknowledgment.  Does Emily realize that she deserves better?
