The LGBTQ community has been making history in the last few years. The most recent headline is Chaz Bono joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars on ABC. Naturally, mother's across America are up in arms about Chaz' transition. They feel that Chaz dancing with a woman sends the wrong message to their children. So I sat and thought about this; what child would look at Chaz Bono and know that he was born a woman unless the parent told the child first? Better yet, what damage is being done to the child by having them exposed to a transgender on television?
Why is everybody so damn uptight? Instead of using this as a teaching opportunity for children, parents are using this as a chance to bash the community. Face it America, we are NOT GOING ANYWHERE :)
