Guarded...

When do you let your guard down?  When we meet people, it is natural to not give all of yourself to them.  After all, you don't know if the person will be a hit or a miss.  After some time you can tell that someone might be worth letting your guard down for.  The worst feeling in the world is showing your vulnerable side to someone who couldn't appreciate it.

The reason most people don't let their guards down is because of fear.  Fear of pain, dishonesty, deceit, infidelity, rejection, disloyalty... the list goes on.  These feelings stay with you until the person you're dating melts walls and makes it easier for you to trust them.  Ultimately, that's what it all boils down to, TRUST.  When you can see that the person is trustworthy, walls will melt.

It is so important to take your time. Not everyone you meet should be someone you open up to.  Not everyone you meet deserves to know all of you.  Not everyone you meet is going to be the one for you.

Why some relationships don't last

Women are funny characters.  I think that should be the end of this blog because it says so much! Still, I'll continue my thoughts.

I rant and rave about women not knowing what they want, not knowing what they have until its gone, appreciating whats right in front of them etc.  It makes me wonder when our women will grow up and start being adults in relationships.  Now don't get me wrong, its not ALL women.  Just some.  There are sooo many different reasons why relationships don't work.

6.) You rushed in-  So you meet a girl, you confuse lust with chemistry, and then you decide to make her your next girlfriend.  Next thing you know, you find out she has 3 kids, bisexual with 3 toes.  Now you realize you didn't have that much in common after all the orgasms came and went.  This is why dating is important.  Get to know each other to even see if the other person is worth being in your life.  Not everyone you date has to end up being your girlfriend.

5.) Pressure- So you've been dating about 2 months... you want a relationship.  You need to know where this is going.  You feel like your falling in love.  SIT YOUR SILLY ASS DOWN.  All these emotions you are feeling will get you in trouble.  Don't put that unnecessary pressure on the person you're dating.  What will end up happening is, they'll definitely make you their girl, but then they'll cheat on you because they weren't ready to be in a relationship in the first place!

4.) Change- When you met her, you knew she smoked cigarettes but you wanted her anyway.  Now that you're with her, you hate that she smokes so much and you want her to stop.  How about you get a life?  People walk into relationships trying to change the other person.  When you meet someone, don't ignore the things about them that you don't like in hopes that you can change them.  Doesn't work that way buddy.  I dated a girl that didn't like that I wore lipstick.  She wouldn't kiss me with my lipstick on.  Eventually, someone kissed me with my lipstick on... and it wasn't her.

3.) Case of the ex- This is a situation I run into WAY tooooo often.  There is always a lingering ex girlfriend.   She doesn't realize that she wants you back once I'm dating you.  She wants to call all hours of the night.  She needs to use you're computer as if the computers at school or the library don't work.  She needs to use your shower because hers doesn't work.  She needs to sit on your strap because hers is in the shop.  Its always some bullshit.  Leave your EX in the past! Ex girlfriends can only be friends with each other when there's no feelings attached.  Lingering feelings are trouble.  If you're not over your ex, don't try to move on to the next!

2.) Insecurities-  For some reason, relationships bring out insecurities.  Those who have trust issues let them shine bright once you get in a relationship.  You see your girl dressed up extra nice and you wonder, "Who the fuck she gettin pretty for?"  You're in the club and your girl dips off to go to the bathroom and you're wondering, "where the hell did she go and what bitch is in the bathroom to make her suddenly have to pee?"  Her phone rings and she answers it in another room because she doesn't wanna disturb the movie you're watching.  Next thing you know, you're by the bedroom door with a glass to the door listening to her talk to her grandmother.  SMH. RE-fucking-LAX!  It's not going to work if you have to question her every move.

1.) Smothering-  It's great to be with someone but you have to have that equal balance.  Most relationships fail because you spend every damn day together and then you realize you're tired of seeing your partner.  You want "me" time.  Time to hang with your friends.  Unfortunately, her ass is attached and now thinks you don't want to be with her because you rather hang out with your friends that to stay up late and watch I Love Lucy reruns.  Bitch, please get some friends of your own.

3Minds and 4Strong- Gay boi band part 3

What are we wearing this summer?

So I'm no fashion guru or anything but I'm always interested in what the celebrities wear.  I can't say that I intentionally follow trends, but there are certain styles that I gravitate towards.  I'm more of a vintage kid so my style borders on late 80's early 90's.  Still, I like to be aware of whats happening on the fashion scene.  Here are some fun summertime trends.

5. Color Blocking- To color block you should mix brights, pales, and patterns.  It is not for someone who does not like taking risks with their clothing.

4. Crop Tops- When you think Crop Top, you're thinking flat stomaches.  If your tummy isn't flat, wear your crop top with high waisted skirt or pants.

3. Crochet- A Crochet piece can add so much flair to an outfit. Wear it over a bikini or a cami and you're good to go.

2. White Suits- I LOVE white suits!  Unfortunately I am too short to pull it off.

1.) High slits- Show off some leg!

Justice?

Casey Anthony- found NOT GUILTY

Caylee Anthony-
So the verdict is in.  Casey Anthony was found NOT GUILTY for the murder of her 3 year old daughter Caylee.  For those of you who were not following the case or are newly informed of the case, here are some facts dealing with the case to help you draw your own EDUCATED conclusion.

June 16, 2008 Caylee seen for the last time. The little girl's grandfather George Casey later tells police that he saw Caylee as she was leaving the house on June 16. It is the last time Caylee is reported to have been seen alive.

June 30, 2008: Casey Anthony's car towed. The family car Casey Anthony had been using was found abandoned in front of an Orlando, Fla., cash advance business and towed away. When the towing company called Casey's parents, Cindy and George Anthony, they became concerned. Casey reportedly had told her mother that she was going on a "mini-vacation" to Jacksonville, Fla. Cindy Anthony later discovered that her daughter had been staying with a boyfriend.

July 15, 2008: Caylee Anthony reported missing. Cindy Anthony called 911 and said, "I found out my granddaughter has been taken, she has been missing for a month." Casey Anthony allegedly told her family and police that she had not seen her daughter for 31 days and had launched her own investigation. In one of three calls placed to 911, Cindy Anthony said, "I found my daughter's car today and it smelled like there's been a dead body in the damn car." Cindy Anthony later retracted that statement, and the Anthony family rallied around Casey.

July 16, 2008: Casey Anthony arrested. Casey told police that she left Caylee at the apartment of a babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, and that both were missing when she returned. Police found, among other discrepancies with her story, that the apartment had been vacant for more than 140 days. Casey was arrested and charged with child neglect. Casey also told police that she worked at Universal Studios, a lie she had been telling her parents for years. Investigators brought Casey to Universal Studios on July 16, 2008, the day after Caylee was reported missing, and asked her to show them her office. Casey led police around for a while before admitting that she had been fired years before.

July 22, 2008: New revelations at bond hearing. In a bond hearing for Casey Anthony, detectives revealed that they had found strands of hair that looked like Caylee's in the trunk of the Anthony family car, and that cadaver dogs had smelled human decomposition in the trunk. Bail was set at $500,000.

July 22, 2008: Casey Anthony called "person of interest." Officials said Casey Anthony is a person of interest in her daughter's disappearance and they were treating the case as a potential homicide.

July 24, 2008: Grandmother reports sighting of missing Caylee. Cindy Anthony told reporters that Caylee was spotted in Georgia, but police could not verify that claim.

Aug. 9, 2008: Caylee's third birthday. Birthday came and went with no sign of the missing child.

July 16, 2008: Casey Anthony was first arrested and was charged with giving false statements, child neglect, and obstruction of a criminal investigation. The judge denied bail, saying Casey had shown "woeful disregard for the welfare of her child." On August 21, 2008, after one month of incarceration, Casey Anthony was released from the Orange County jail after her $500,200 bond was posted by the nephew of California bail bondsman Leonard Padilla hopes that Casey would cooperate and Caylee would be found.  She was arrested again on August 29, 2008, on charges of forgery, fraudulent use of personal information, petty theft for forging $700 worth of checks and using her friend's credit cards without permission.

August 11, 12, and 13, 2008: tips of a suspicious object found in a forested area near the Anthony residence were called in to police by a meter reader, Roy Kronk. However, a search was not conducted at that time. After another report from the same man on December 11, 2008, human remains were found in a plastic bag. Duct tape was found on the face of the skull.  On December 12, the remains were tentatively identified as Caylee's.

On December 15: WFTV reported that more bones were found in the wooded area near the spot where the remains had initially been discovered. On December 19, 2008,medical examiner Jan Garavaglia confirmed that the remains found were those of Caylee Anthony. The death was ruled a homicide and the cause of death listed as undetermined.

Any normal person can draw the conclusion that this lady is a liar.  The only thing consistent about this story is her web of lies.  You definitely do NOT need a law degree to figure that out.  Unfortunately, Casey Anthony walked away with the "Not Guilty" verdict that has society up in arms.  I know everyone is very upset and questioning the American Judicial System.  I encourage you to believe that the American Judicial System is not the ultimate judge.  God is.  Whether you believe in a higher being or not, laws of nature say that what you put out is what you get back.  She may have gotten away with this, but justice is ALWAYS served.

What the PLANK?

So there has been this new phenomenon called planking.  Many have their views on it.  I personally think that it is a silly way to get everyone to laugh.  I said it on twitter, if a few people laying down is disturbing your existence, then you need re evaluate life.  Planking has NOTHING to do with slavery.  There, I said it.  It originated from Australia. It is called planking because you are supposed to lay down and mimic a wooden plank.  People are ALWAYS taking something light and fun and turning it into something negative and controversial.  God forbid people start a movement where they stand on one leg and call it balancing.  Next thing you know people will be saying balancing was what they did to the gays back in the day to keep them from giving head.  Oh well, call me ignorant.  It's MY opinion! :p

You don't know what you have until its gone...

Just curious, but why don't people realize what they have when they have it?  It usually takes you walking away from a person for them to see that they had a gem.

LADIES! listen up... When you have someone in front of you that does everything for you because they love you, don't take that as weakness.  Don't take that as your mate being a push over.  Don't take that as a que to take advantage of her.  I promise you the moment your partner sees that she deserves to be treated equally or better, she will leave.  Then you will miss all the things that were given to you without a second thought.

We don't care to hear about how you regret what you did in the past.  We don't care to hear that you were being selfish.  We don't care to hear that you weren't ready at the time.  When you have a woman in front of you that treats you right, TREAT HER RIGHT!  Just do it!  Women complain all the time about not being able to find a good woman but you should really be complaining about not knowing how to TREAT a good woman.

:) Take heed my friends.
